Just a few words ... Flippin' COLD Outside ...

Well I wanted to do a pity post quick for all of you who live in those 'warmer' states ... today I took Jaden to the bus stop and the outdoor temp in the car read -6 ... but the windchill was ... ready for this ... -37 this morning in the Twin Cities ... ahh, a bit brisk eh? Jaden's bus was late because it 'died' on the way ... apparantly bus fuel gels up under extreme cold ... she made it to school safe and sound but tomorrow is looking to be a wee bit chillier at the good 'ol bus stop ... this is the forecast for the Twin Cities (why'd I move here again?)
TONIGHT:
Clear in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows 15 below to 20 below zero. Southwest winds 10 mph.
TUESDAY:
Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of light snow in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Highs around 5 above. Southeast winds 10 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.
TUESDAY NIGHT:
Not as cold. (gotta love that optimism huh?) Mostly cloudy. Snow likely in the evening...then a slight chance of snow after midnight. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Lows around 5 below. Southeast winds 5 mph shifting to the west after midnight. Chance of snow 70 percent.
I am kind of happy to be home on bedrest with these temperatures (right now the air temp is -12 but it 'feels like' -21 with the wind chill). I happily spent the day inside with the painters here ... my mother in law was a godsend this weekend ... she arrived Saturday afternoon and entertained Jaden with plenty of things to do ... she made us meatloaf for dinner and then I headed to bed early ... Sunday Jason made us all breakfast and Carol took Jaden shopping where she FINALLY bought her sister an Elmo Stocking ... Then Carol made us homemade stir fry for dinner and even did laundry while Jason painted the walls of the house that needed repairing ... and GUESS WHAT? The contractors and electrician showed up tdoday at 7:30 and were here until 6:45 ... and guess what ... I am SO beyond happy to report that tomorrow carpet will be installed in my girls' bedrooms and Jason will be moving furniture and setting up the nursery ... I am so excited I could pee my pants ... I am in shock it is finally done but more importantly Jason and I can finally feel excited about Charlotte's arrival now that she'll have a space of her own and reality will set in ... I will post photos tomorrow of the finished product ... and then Wednesday is my Dr's appt and we will find out for sure what the next step is ... whoo-hoo!
Have a great week - 'see' you tomorrow ...

I wouldn't know what to do with that cold weather! We are having highs in the low 50's right now and I'm loving it! Sure beats the 100 degree weather we get in the summers. This little heat "generator" in my tummy is keeping me toasty! SO happy for you that your house remodel is coming together and getting finished. Let the nesting begin right??
