Dog Days of Summer!

Dog Days of Summer!

Just thought I’d do an update since I am once again lagging behind. We have been quite busy here in the The Clark House. We just returned 2 weeks ago for our trip back home to NY for my niece’s High School Graduation! I can NOT believe she is old enough to graduate (what does that mean for me?) We had a great time traveling this time around … flew from Minneapolis into Newark and then took the train from Newark into Penn Station in New York City. There we had a 2 hour layover and walked around downtown and ate dinner and of course some yummy ice cream. Did a lot of people watching outside and then went to wait for our train to Albany … it was a LONG day but taking the train was a much better alternative to driving and falling asleep while doing so. We got to my parent’s house around 10:30 pm and visited for a while before finally heading to bed. June 24th Amanda graduated from High School and became the first grandchild to do so … since the others aren’t old enough yet! It was a wonderful ceremony and we are all so very proud of Amanda and all her accomplishments. She heads off to college in the fall … we had a nice relaxing week at my parent’s house. Filled with planting, bike riding, bonfires, baseball games, goofing off and of course swimming. Jaden managed to break her arm 2 weeks before leaving on vacation but luckily they make waterproof casts these days so the swimming issue was resolved and the cast held up wonderfully! In fact she just had it removed last week and she is good to go … We headed to New Jersey for my cousin’s annual Pig Roast at her house. As usual that was a wonderful time had by all … lots of food, family, friends, (drinking), horse shoe playing and yup – more swimming! Jaden did manage to swim so much that she sadly flew home with an ear infection … poor kid was a trooper though. She cried a bit when taking off and landing but managed to sleep during the flights … I am pretty sure I would have complained a lot more that she did. Our days have been filled with more swimming, back to our normal schedules, birthday parties and BBQ’s since we returned. It is supposed to get quite hot again this week so I am sure more swimming will be in order! I will post some more pictures of our vacations to NY/NJ and Florida from March soon … until then here is my favorite picture thus far … Hope all are doing well!

Love ~ The Clark's ~ Jason, Rebekah and Jaden TOO!
