Baby #2 - Week 34, The House and Tag You're It

(ABOVE: The House - zoomed Out - with the siding complete - just need gutters and shutters)
(ABOVE: The Siding - zoomed in so you can see how pretty - we just need to paint our garage door dark brown)
(ABOVE: Jaden inside her and Jason's new Christmas Electric Train!)
(ABOVE: Me and my Baby - I love her more than I could ever express with words!)

Well it is Tuesday and that means Baby #2 Update. Also I wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented on my last post and left a message about my Blood Pressure. I did have a follow-up appointment on Friday and I am happy to report that it came in at 136/75 - which for me is pretty good! So I was cleared to go about my 'normal' duties (dialed down a little) until my appointment tomorrow. I will have another Biophysical Ultrasound and HOPEFULLY my blood pressure (with a dosage change) will be fine and dandy and I can go on for another week. The Doctor I saw Friday did say she would recommend to my Doctor that I deliver at 38 weeks so we will see what he says tomorrow. I am just hopeful that I am still pregnant - as old as it is to 'still' be pregnant - I truly can not imagine having a baby right now - there is no bedroom yet - which could be a contributing factor to the BP perhaps. On the house front - we had a meeting with the builders a week or so ago and we are scheduled to have all the trim work installed tomorrow through Friday. The drywallers are there today finishing their work and next week should be paint and flooring - then we will be ready to have a furniture moving party on December 20th - anyone want to join? We are all anxious to get it done and get the mess cleaned up ... on a positive point - the siding is done and it looks beautiful. I will add a photo soon. Our Thanksgiving break was nice and deserved. Friday we all headed out shopping in the afternoon and then headed to GodFather's Pizza for our traditional Christmas Shopping dinner ... then Saturday we headed out yet again to shop some more. Jason found his Christmas train he's always wanted at a Hobby Shop in Minneapolis - Jaden could have stayed in that store for hours ... it was funny - she never noticed that everything she picked up and said she wanted she would put down - then Jason would pick it up and go add it to the pile where he then paid for it all and took it out to the car without her even noticing a thing ... so I am finally getting her Santa gifts. This weekend I am hoping to have it ALL done - for everyone except Jason because he is just way too difficult to buy for ... Sunday we also decided to put up the Christmas Tree - even though the house is a mess Jaden really didn't want to wait until next weekend and I am glad we put it up - it instantly changed my mood to Festive once it was up and we got to sit in the dark and watch the lights ... Jaden is so excited this year and LOVED putting up all the ornaments and asking who gave her which one ... she is into the Holiday for sure! Other than all that we are chugging along ... trying to get ready for Baby Charlotte and the Holidays and shop and tread through our disaster of a house ... and boy I could use a glass (or bottle) of wine. Also I am happy to report that my mom's surgery was today and she is in recovery so all is well ... hopefully in the next 3 hours dad will get to see her and my sister will call with an update! Once more thing to be thankful for! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Family and Friends ... let's see where the baby is at Week 34 shall we?

How your baby's growing:Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (about the size of a cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

How your life's changing:By this week, fatigue has probably set in again, though maybe not with the same coma-like intensity of your first trimester. Your tiredness is perfectly understandable, given the physical strain you're under and the restless nights of frequent pee breaks and tossing and turning, while trying to get comfortable. Now's the time to slow down and save up your energy for labor day (and beyond). If you've been sitting or lying down for a long time, don't jump up too quickly. Blood can pool in your feet and legs, causing a temporary drop in your blood pressure when you get up that can make you feel dizzy. If you notice itchy red bumps or welts on your belly and possibly your thighs and buttocks as well, you may have a condition called pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP for short). Up to one percent of pregnant women develop PUPPP, which is harmless but can be quite uncomfortable. See your practitioner so she can make sure it's not a more serious problem, provide treatment to make you more comfortable, and refer you to a dermatologist if necessary. Also be sure to call her if you feel intense itchiness all over your body, even if you don't have a rash. It could signal a liver problem.

Thankfully no welts or itchy bumps and I am actually not too tired right now - too much going on to be tired I suppose ... so aside from the BP we are both doing just fine! Oh and I found this survey from Rebecca at His Wife ~ Their Momma so I thought I would post my answers too!
