Well it is Favorite Foto Friday and this weeks theme is 'SIBLINGS' ... well being that a sibling is one of the things Jaden wants most in life this seems appropriate ... there is no sibling for Jaden on the way (at this moment) but hopefully next year we can say different ... Well being that I am 1 of 4 children in my family I will show some pictures of my siblings ... My OLDEST sister is Nicole and she is married with 2 children (Amanda - 18 and Zachary - 16) ... my Second OLDEST sister is Jennifer and she is married with 1 child (Justyn - 10) ... then there is ME, the YOUNGEST girl ... I am married and have 1 child (Jaden - 6) ... the baby in the family is my brother Harry and he is also married and has 2 children (Hannah - 3 and Matthew - 1) ...
I have to say we are pretty close siblings ... my older sisters are less than 2 years apart - then there is a 4 year break until I came along and there is only an 18 month break between my brother and I. Growing up my sister's shared a room and my brother and I shared a room. Of course when we were little my brother and I had a lot of fun sharing a room - stayed up talking all night, made blanket forts out of our bunk beads, played GI Joe with my Barbies (they were the babies!) My older sister became our 'mom' when my sister Jennifer was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at age 12 ... my parents, of course, were gone a lot. Me being so little I didn't understand why but my sister Niki was there to take care of us ... and she did a wonderful job, well except for the pancakes she made us eat - they were only cooked on one side, EEEEWWWW! We were raised to respect each other and to love each other - I admit, I hate Jaden not having a sibling - she is truly missing out on so much and would be an amazing Big Sister ... she always said she wanted a sister but recently a comment was made to me. She said, "Mom, I would be fine with any kind of baby!" ... So hopefully we can work that out for her ... Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Great pics...WOW, I think it would have been cool to have more siblings, but I was blessed with one brother. I hope to have a sibling for Madeline one day but this time I would like to walk down the isle first....still searching. If you can see from my previous post she asks me a lot about a brother or a sister. She is at the age she would love a sibling. Someday I hope!
Anyhow, thanks for the post. I always love checking on how your family is doing! Hopefully your getting some Spring weather by now.

Hey Rebekah!
I just wanted to tell you something... I have 3 kids who I adore to the ends of the earth and I can completely understand why you hope to give Jaden a sibling. BUT...don't forget that there are SO many advantages to Jaden being an only child too. I am not saying it is better to have siblings or better to be an only child, but I think spacing kids is great. It gives you time with each and that is something I wish I had more of. Cherish these times with your little princess and explain to her all the ways that she is benefiting by having mommy & daddy all to herself. When a new baby arrives, you'll be so much more "ready" for it because your family will be so close for all the one on one time you've been able to share.
Okay. Sorry. I was rambling! I guess that was my long-winded way of saying that sometimes I wish each of my kids could experience being an only child because there are a lot of great things about that!
