Merry (a few days after) Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Holiday and enjoyed the company of friends and family. Our Christmas was nice and relaxing and just peaceful. Jaden got way too many gifts and enjoyed her Christmas immensly. She was under the weather Monday and Tuesday and I thought for sure she had strep but I am happy to report she feels fine now and was not sick for Christmas ... Christmas Eve we spent some time out shopping for things we needed for Christmas dinner - make your own pizzas! And Jason went out and finished shopping for me and his mom ... Jaden and I made and decorated Christmas Cookies for Santa. We also decided to let her open all her gifts from Jason and I as well as my sisters, brother and parents on Christmas Eve. She got out of the tub and opened up her jammies. She was thrilled with all the gifts she got and was happy that alls she got were arts and crafts things. That was all she asked for aside from and iDog and an MP3 player. She had a great night and was in bed by 9:00. Jason and I then got to watch a movie together utnil Santa could arrive ... I thought Jaden would be up early but she slept until 8:00 and 45 minutes later all her presents were opened and she was ready to play. She did get her MP3 player, her iDog, headphones and enough arts and crafts to last a month she said - mom says at least 3 months I hope!!! She's got stained glass to make, flower petals to paint, sun cathers to stain, pixos to stick together, model magic clay shrinky dink jewelery, a storybook to write, a scrapbook to put together, 1000 sheets of construction paper, 2 doll houses to build and decorate as well as a die cut machine to cut out all kinds of things ... she better not say she' bored until spring or I will be crazy!!! She had a great day though ... Jason's mom Carol, Herb, Adrienne and Chuck came up around noon and we snacked and talked ... then we made pizzas and then opened more gifts ... after that we devoured some Carrot Cake and Boston Cream Pie (YUM) and by 7:00 it was just the 3 of us again trying to recover from the day. Jaden then opened more crafts and went to town ... Yesterday we returned some stuff at Wal Mart, headed to Michael's so Jaden could use her gift card and then headed across the street to exhange gifts with the neighbors and eat MORE pizza... it was a nice night ... today we are heading to Albert Lea to visit Trevor, Lisa and the boys for some Ultimate Fighting ... um, no thanks ... tomorrow is laundry day and hopefully baby day is Monday!!! So here is wishing you all a Merry After Christmas Weekend ...
