HELP - Or a little reassurance

I am just going to come right out with it today ... I need help! Not the kind of help that is available in a self help book or a cushy office with a relaxing couch ... well, I probably could use that help too! This help is more like a reassurance ... this is a call to arms to all moms out there! Moms to any girls ages 5-7 years old ... I am struggling with what may be deemed 'normal' behavior for a 6 year old ... who suffers from serious Fashion Issues! Here is a little background ... Jaden is 6 years old ... she is very tall (4' already) and quite muscularly built. She never has been 'dainty' or 'petite'. Instead she has been 'tough' and 'tall'. She dislikes being referred to as tall and she also dislikes being so much bigger than all her girl friends. She also refuses to wear anything that will show off her legs ... now I am not saying I want her walking around in daisy dukes - Heavens NO but she will not wear anything that doesn't go below her knees. Being that we live in Minnesota this isn't usually an issue - Hello we had snow a week ago! But it does actually get hot here and she can't walk around in jeans all summer. So she recently told me why she hates her legs (her words not mine!) It is because of the hair on her legs. She doesn't like people to see *all* the hair - you can barely see the 'normal' amount of hair on her legs. But she knows its there and it bothers her a lot. So here is where I need your help. How to I help her get over this issue ... it is almost a daily fight in the morning to get her dressed for school. She won't wear the Bermuda shorts *she* picks out either. She wear capri's all the time - which is fine with me but it is usually a daily battle over what my child is going to wear. So tell me all you moms who have come before me - Is This Normal? I have been told by many that it will only get worse! UGH! What advice can you give me to get through this ... at this point I tell her she can wear anything she wants as long as it isn't snow pants in the summer and flip flops in the winter! So please - if you can spare a minute or two - HELP a mom out! Thanks in advance ...
