Karma = Car Trouble

Do you know what just happened in our house at the beginning of October? Well I will tell you - after a great decision to lease my VW Jetta back in 2007 and then after a bad decision to buy it after the lease was up in 2003 we have finally paid off my new/old car. Yup after paying 7 years of a car the final payment was sent in and the car is officially paid for and all mine without a monthly payment. Well can you only imagine what happens next ... well my car decided that it doesn't really like to go any faster than 40 miles an hour anymore. It also decided to turn on that annoying little orange light - you know the one - "CHECK ENGINE". Do you know when this happened? On a Friday afternoon - a beautiful day at that - I am in the car 15 miles from home with Jaden and we are shopping for her Fall Harvest Party. The car starts vibrating a little and the light pops on. What do I do? I freak, pull over and call the VW dealership. They say it is ok to drive so long as the light isn't blinking ... which is isn't. Fast forward a few days and at this point I am surprised I can get the thing to move at all ... yup my 7 year old PAID OFF car has developed a Diva Personality and is heading to the Dealership tomorrow for a complete makeover of sorts. I am not sure what's wrong with it but I do feel like I am going crazy since EVERY TIME Jason sits and drives the thing it runs perfect ... Luckily when we leased the thing - 7 years ago - we extended the warranty and it still has 12,000 more miles until that is up ... but let me tell you it still sucks when you're out of a car! That is called Karma ... pay for your car off and it is bound to go KAPUT! Wish my car luck that it comes out looking better than it did when it went in ...
