FFF - Simply Black and White

(ABOVE: Black and White #1 - Jaden after a 'makeover' from Manda! Her eyes are CRAZY!)
(ABOVE: Black and White #2 - Jaden with her hair pulled out of her eyes ... just the way mom like it!)
(ABOVE: Black and White #3 - Jaden at the beach last week celebrating Christina's 3rd Birthday!)

(ABOVE: Black and White #5 - Charlotte's debut photo - one of thousands to come!!)
Well it is (almost) Friday again and this week's theme from Sarah at http://www.kissthefrog4me.blogspot.com is Black and White ... pretty easy to do these days huh? Well one of my favorite Black and White Photos from this week is the Ultrasound of Baby Charlotte that we had done yesterday ... in case you missed my Baby Post - Baby#2 is a Litte Girl! Now, I also have TONS of photos of my Baby#1 that I will have to post too ... We have had a great last week of summer here, school starts next Thursday so we have been enjoying ourselves ... tomorrow Jason has Fantasy Football at the house so Jaden and I are heading to the Mall of America for girls' night of shopping and dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Our big dumpster gets delivered tomorrow too so we will start our clean out in preparation for construction to begin on the house October 6th ... Saturday we will head to the Great MN GetToGether (The MN State Fair - so big it has its own Zip Code!) And Sunday and Monday will be spent cleaning the house, garage and shed ... it is also supposed to be near 90 all weekend so I am sure we will be in the pool as well ... Hope you all have a great weekend ...

It's A .... GIRL

(ABOVE: Baby#2 a.k.a. Charlotte @ 20 weeks)
Well what do you think it is? I am happy to report that baby#2 did in fact reveal 'itself' to us today ... and all is well with 'it' ... the baby is measuring a week smaller than gestation but I am beyond 100% positive with the conception date so the due date of January 12th stays the same ... so I would like to introduce you to Baby#2' Very First Photo ... Here is Charlotte Jo Clark ... also know as Baby#2 - which is a GIRL!!!!!
I am also happy to report that all of Charlotte's organs are functioning perfect and she is healthy all the way - with 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 kidneys, a 4 chambered heart - you name it she's got it, oh and she weights right around 10 ounces at this point and is about 10 1/2" long ... Thank you everyone for following along ... now - who guessed correctly? I was pretty sure it was a little boy in there and was afraid I would be dissapointed if it was so I psyched myself up to hear IT'S A Boy - instead I heard IT'S A GIRL and didn't really know what to say! Jaden; however said it all with a giant smile! So here is the ultrasound photo of our newest family member ... now onto the shopping and baby shower planning!

Baby #2 - Week 20 - On Pins And Needles ...

(ABOVE: This is how excited Jaden is about tomorrow's Doctors Appt!!! Taken in Cedar Point where she was equally exicted to ride roller coasters!)
(ABOVE: Fetal Development at 20 weeks! HALF WAY THERE!)
(ABOVE: An amazing picture of a 20 week old fetus in the womb - how miraculous is that?)
Well it is Tuesday and that means Baby#2 Update ... OF COURSE I will be back tomorrow with the news of Baby#2's gender HOPEFULLY! Anybody who's out there reading this let me know what your gut feeling is regarding Baby#2's sex ... my gut says BOY! Jaden hopes for a GIRL! And Jason just wants 10 fingers and 10 toes! But in the mean time Jaden is so excited and keeps saying she would really like a sister but if she has a brother that is okay because she will be able to call him her Buddy! We have FINALLY come up with our baby name choices and once we know 'what' the baby is we will tell you 'who' the baby is ... I have to tell you all a quick story first - Last Monday Jaden and I had our dentist appointments - she went in before me but once I was called in I was about 2 rooms down from her - now I still can not figure out how my child can talk SO much at the dentist and still get her teeth cleaned! This is what transpired between her and her favorite dental hygeniest ...
Jaden: "Guess What! My mom has a baby in her belly."
Hygeniest: "REALLY! That is exciting - you'll be a big sister finally?"
Jaden: "Yeah - the hard part is that if the baby is a boy we have a problem!"
Hygeniest: "Uh-Oh ... you don't want a brother?"
Jaden: "No I like brothers but mommy, daddy and I all like different names ... Daddy likes Declan, Mommy likes Sam and I like Hayden ... but mommy says she will go crazy if we name the baby Hayden because it rhymes with Jaden! Geesh Louise! Thank goodness we all agree on a girls name - because Harley Dog is the tie breaker and she can't even speak!"
Now all this was heard loud and clear - and her teeth still got cleaned, she got a molar sealed and a flouride treatment - all while talking! That's my girl ... God Bless her future husband! But she is right - all 3 of us like different boy names but we all agree on a girls name - so stay tuned for tomorrow! Now how is Baby#2 doing?
How your baby's growing: Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He/She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — about the length of a banana (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his/her torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his/her head to his/her bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he/she's measured from head to toe.) He/She's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his/her digestive system. He/She's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his/her bowels, and you'll see it in his/her first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
How your life's changing: Congratulations! You've hit the halfway mark in your pregnancy. The top of your uterus is about level with your belly button, and you've likely gained around 10 pounds. Expect to gain another pound or so each week from now on. (If you started your pregnancy underweight, you may need to gain a bit more; if you were overweight, perhaps a bit less.) Make sure you're getting enough iron, a mineral that's used primarily to make hemoglobin (the part of your red blood cells that carries oxygen). During pregnancy, your body needs more iron to keep up with your expanding blood volume, as well as for your growing baby and the placenta. Red meat is one of the best sources of iron for pregnant women. Poultry (especially the dark meat) and shellfish also contain iron. Some common non-meat sources of iron include legumes, soy-based products, spinach, prune juice, raisins, and iron-fortified cereals. If you haven't already signed up for a childbirth class you may want to look into one, especially if you're a first-timer. A structured class will help prepare you and your partner for the rigors of labor and delivery. Most hospitals and birth centers offer classes, either as weekly meetings or as a single intensive, one-day session. Many communities have independent instructors as well. Ask your friends, family members, or caregiver for recommendations.
As with the past 15 weeks everything is chugging along here with me ... obviously I am running out of clothing options and Jaden and I decided that Friday (since Jason has his Fantasy Football Draft) her and I are heading to the Mall of America. I will head to Old Navy for some fall maternity clothes, Jaden needs a new pair of dress shoes for school and she also wants to buy her new blankets for her new bedroom. I am not sure if I mentioned it or not but construction on the 2 new bedrooms begins October 6th - and since the builders are doing everything (except moving furniture) Jaden wants to pick out her new bed clothes so when it comes time to pick her wall colors we'll be ready. I of course am ANXIOUSLY awaiting tomorrows results to start my nursery planning - my girlfriend Jolene is insisting on a baby shower but I am still a little unsure about one - I had one for Jaden - you are only supposed to have one right? Or has that etiquette changed? Well, she is insisting I have a shower - especially since the only BABY thing I own is a crib - which was a convertible crib that Jaden used so now it is her headboard, so I guess 'technically' I don't even have a crib! But on ahappier note - our dumpster arrives Friday so we get to purge - purge- purge ... I can't wait! See you all tomorrow - I PROMISE!

FFF - Friends With Stuffy

(ABOVE: Posted this already but it fits the theme ... Jaden sleeping on her stuffed Pug Puppy with her Dalmation under her arms!)
(ABOVE: Jaden and her first Build A Bear from Nan and Pop - she looks so little here at 4 years old! Where'd my baby go?)
(ABOVE: Jaden and her beloved Froggy - which happily sits in her closet watching over her!)
(ABOVE: Jaden only 2 days old here - 1st photo with a stuffed animal ... and hours before being admitted to Children's Hospital with toxic jaundice levels - apparantly she shouldn't have a 'tan' as a 2 day old!)
Well it is Friday already and I still have yet to post any glorious wedding photos or Cedar Point Photos or Family Photos - I will do that this weekend ... hopefully! But for now here we are at Favorite Foto Friday and this is a great theme ... Jaden is a SUCKER for anything stuffed and to this day has 11 Webkinz lining her headboard. She also sleeps with NO LESS than 5 stuffed animals all aranged in a certain OCD order all her own ... she has been a big fan of stuffies since she was little ... here's a walk down memory lane ... Hop on over to Sarah's Blog at http://www.kissthefrog4me.blogspot.com to see more Friends With Stuffies Posts ... Have a great Friday ... I will hopefully be back this weekend!

Baby #2 - Week 19

(ABOVE: Fetal Development at 19 weeks - looks crammed in there already doesn't it?)
(ABOVE: Baby @ 19 weeks gestation - how cool!)
Well the time has gone by and with us being on vacation for what seemed like forever we missed a few Baby#2 update Weeks ... well I am back today to update on Baby#2 ... later this week I will update about the rest of our vacation and the glorious wedding we went to. As for now - well let's update Baby#2 shall we?
How Your Baby's Growing? Your baby's sensory development is exploding! His/Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. Some research suggests that he/she may be able to hear your voice now so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to him/her or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you. Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches from head to bottom - about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His/Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his/her body now. His/Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on his/her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his/her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
How Your Life's Changing? Think you're big now? You'll start growing even more rapidly in the weeks to come. As a result, youmay notice some schiness in your lower abdomen or even an aoccasional brief, stabbing pain on one or both sides - especially when you shift position or at the end of an active day. Most likely, this is round ligament pain. The ligaments that support your uterus are stretching to accomodate its increasing weight. This is nothing to be alarmed about but call your doctor if the pain continues when you're resting or becomes severe. You may also notice some skin changes too. Are the palms of your hands red? Nothing to worry about - it's from increased estrogen. You may also notice you have patches of darkened skin due to a temporary increase in pigment. When these darker patches appear on your upper lip, cheeks and forehead they're called chloasma or the "Mask of Prregnancy". You may also notice some darkening of your nipples, freckles, scars, underarms, inner thighs and vulva. That darkened line running from your belly button to your pubic bone is called the linea nigra or "dark line". These darkened spots will most likely fade shortly after delivery. In the meantime, protect yourself from the sun which intensifies the pigment changes.
Well I am happy to report that Baby#2 has finally made his/her existence known by fluttering and floating around in there ... I am also happy to report that the pregnancy pigment changes have not happend and didn't with Jaden so I am hopeful it won't this time around. I am starting to lose options in my closet and have decided that I need to shop for some long pants once fall comes ... for the time being I am covered for the rest of summer. Our 1st Ultrasound is Wednesday August 27th and all 3 of us are excited. Jason will be picking Jaden up and meeting me at the Dr's office so we can all find out together - so a few prayers that this baby is spread eagle in a week ... and then closed for the next 25 years!!! Oh and we finalize our construction contract tonight and with wishful thinking construcion should being in 4 weeks ... and 4 weeks later we will have 400 sf added to the house and 2 more bedrooms. Jaden is excited to go shopping for new bed clothes and of course to pick a paint color for her room. We are hoping to know the baby's sex and do the same thing in the other room! Well other than all that things are going well ... hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Jaden is home with Grandma today - well actually they're at Valley Fair riding more roller coasters ... tomorrow she has a sleepover with Savannah and Saturday she's sleeping at Hannah's since Jason and I have a committment ceremony of a coworker to attend ... so a busy week/weekend ahead! Hope all is well ...

FFF - We're Back ...

(ABOVE: FINALLY a picture of Jason and I - this is from the glorious wedding)
(ABOVE: I love this picture of Jaden with her favorite guy - daddy!)
(ABOVE: Jaden got a makeover from Manda - her hair is out of her eyes and she looks beautiful!)
Happy FFF everyone! We are obviously back from our vacation and happy to be part of FFF again! Has it really been 3 weeks since I posted for FFF? Well this week I have no idea what the theme from Sarah at http://www.kissthefrog4me.blogspot.com has even chosen but I am going to post 3 of my favorite photos from our trip ... hope you all had a great week! Our weekend is relaxing but a bit busy ... we are going to dinner with neighbors tonight, tomorrow is Christina's (our neighbor)3rd Birthday at the beach and probably some back to school shopping at the Mall of America and then Sunday is relaxing by the pool hopefully! Oh and Baby#2 has finally made his/her debut and is dancing up a storm ... it is exciting now that it seems real ... we find out the sex (hopefully) on August 27th so fingers crossed that this baby is NOT very modest about him/herself. Oh and we made a decision on the house front ... we are styaing put and adding on two bedrooms above our current garage. We are also getting the garage drywalled and plumbed for a heater, new kitchen counter tops and appliances ... so Baby#2 will have a bedroom afterall ... YIPPIE! Have a great weekend!

Our Vacation Slideshow 1

Well I thought I would try and post a slideshow of photos versus me trying to pick out just a 'few' of my favorite ones ... I think these pictures are mainly from our Ohio stop. Like I said we stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and enjoyed endless hours in their water park and outdoor pool, Saturday Jason - Koz and Desmond headed to Canton to see the Football Hall of Fame while us 'girls' stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the childrens activities and the water park. I purchased a Paw Pass for Jaden which gave her special access to all sorts of things while we were at the Lodge. She got to make a Build A Bear, she Tye-dyed a pillow case, went to the craft room and did arts and crafts, she got a souvenir cup with FREE refills, she got arcade tokens and even got an airbrush tattoo ... so, needless to say we kept ourselves busy. Jaden was EXCELLENT the entire time (minus one small event) and she truly loved her vacation and wants to go back to Great Wolf Lodge again soon - luckily we live 3 hours from the Wisconsin Dells where there is a Great Wolf Lodge - and a few others ... now, let me get back to the unfortunate misbehavior event from Miss Jaden ... you see, Kendra and Jaden don't really 'mesh' well together and after just 24 hours Jaden had enough of spending time with her ... so when Kendra wanted to sit next to Jaden she said no. When she asked again Jaden said no, after the 3rd time Kendra said please and Jaden said no which made me make Jaden move over ... all was fine until Little Miss Eye Rolling and Finger Pointing lost her mind and screamed at me ... well I told her she wasn't getting any warnings from me that day and that we were heading up to the room for a little break. Of course Jaden screamed and cried and I ignored her - until she thought a swing at mom was a good idea - I saw the look on her face and it pretty much said "Oh No" once she did it but it was too late ... when we walked in to the room I made her sit on the couch while I went out on the balcony for a breath of air when all of a sudden I heard a 'CLICK' noise - YUP, Jaden decided locking me outside on the 3rd floor was an even better idea than swinging at me ... I went to the door, knocked and told her to open it - she said NO - I said it again - she said NO - I said it one last time and she said - Not if you are going to make that face - (I must make a face when I am mad at her) - well she opened the door and when I came in and closed it I told her to run for her life! Now, I didn't beat her or anything but she did have to sit in the room for an hour while Kendra was at the water park ... and looking back now it was kind of funny ... but she learned her lesson because for the rest of our vacation she was very cuddly and lovey! SO - tat is our Ohio trip ... I will post more about Cedar Point in the next post - yet another interesting day! Until then ... hope you are all having a great week!

Vacation - Day 1

VACATION - DAY 1
(ABOVE: Jaden in the car on the way to OHIO ... then NEW YORK ... then NEW JERSEY!)
(ABOVE: Jaden and Kendra - Day One of 3 long days! More on that later!)
(ABOVE: Jaden sitting in a cool chair at the Great Wold Lodge)
(ABOVE: Jaden in front of the fireplace at the Great Wolf Lodge!)
n the lobby of the Great Wolf Lodge - this was a creepy clock tower show that came to life and sang throughout the day - kind of weird!)
(ABOVE: Jaden sliding alone - with a BIG Smile on her face!)
(ABOVE: Jaden and Jason heading down one of many water slides!)
(ABOVE: Jaden thinks the Great Wolf Lodge ROCKS!)
Well we're back and it was a wonderful time! Our first day was of course spent in the car for 13 hours and I have to brag a bit because I have an amazing car traveler in Jaden! She watched TV, played Nintendo DS, colored, slept, talked a lot and just generally sat in the back watching the world fly by! We left MN around 4:00am on Friday and got to the Great Wolf Lodge around 7:00 that same night. It took a little longer since we caravaned with Sarah and Koz. Once we got there Jaden looked down into the waterpark and her jaw hit the floor and she was ready to go. We checked into our Loft Suite Room and unpacked our luggage, ordered some pizza for room service and then hit the waterpark soon afterwards. I am going to post pictures from DAY one first and hopefully get to the rest during the week.
We're Home and Exhausted!
(ABOVE: Jaden on Day TWO and already exhausted!! Great Wolf Lodge; Sandusky, Ohio!)
I will post soon and of course there will be plenty of photos ... until then - everything is fine and dandy!
